Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Film Friday in March is dedicated to <b>International Women&#8217;s Day<\/b> , which is celebrated every year on the 8th. March, this year under the slogan <strong>&#8220;Real. Justice. Now! For all women and girls.&#8221;<\/strong> (#ForAllWomenandGirls #InternationalWomensDay2026).<\/p>\n<p>In cooperation with the Embassy of Spain in Serbia, <strong>on March 13,<\/strong> the cycle opens with the Spanish film <i>Soy Nevenka<\/i> ( <i>I am Nevenka<\/i> ), a powerful true story about the first woman in Spain who took a powerful politician to court for sexual harassment.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian-French drama <i>Primadonna<\/i> ( <i>The Girl from Tomorrow<\/i> ) is in the repertoire <strong>on March 20<\/strong> and brings a poignant story about a young woman who defies an imposed marriage in the 1960s and starts a personal and legal fight for dignity.<\/p>\n<p>The series closes <strong>on March 27<\/strong> with the Austrian comedy <i>Mermaids Don&#8217;t Cry<\/i> , a humorous but harsh story about a modern woman who balances family obligations, economic challenges and personal dreams. Nevenka decides to report him, although she knows that she will pay a high price for it &#8211; her environment does not support her, the community of Ponferrada turns its back on her, and the media exposes her to a public trial. Her case is starting the #Metoo movement in Spain long before the term even came into existence. According to custom, Lia must marry the man who raped her in order to save her honor. It would bring glamor to her chaotic world when her father comes back to move in with her again, her friend leaves her children with her to look after, while her would-be lover does not leave because he becomes homeless. But none of that matters: Anika needs fins that cost 2,458 euros.
