We invite all teachers and students from pre-school to high school level, as well as parents and all those interested, to independently realize a series of experiments within the scientific workshop “Science and technology in school and society”<\/strong> , which will be held on Monday, March 23, starting at 12 noon in the premises of the European House in Belgrade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The authors of the workshop are Stevan Joki\u0107 and Ljiljana Joki\u0107<\/strong> , founders of the “Hand in the Test” program, whose goal is for children to acquire scientific literacy, through a learning methodology that imitates the work of scientists in the laboratory and encourages children’s curiosity, thus avoiding targeting only gifted students.<\/p>\n

The workshop is designed for the participants to receive instructions and instructions on how to independently perform certain experiments, under the supervision of the author of the workshop.<\/p>\n

“Hand in the dough”<\/strong> (La main \u00e0 la p\u00e2te) is a project that in 1996 initiated by Georges Sharpak, winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics, members of the French Academy of Sciences – Yves Quere and Pierre Lena (a foreign member of SANU) and the French Academy of Sciences, and aims to improve the quality of science and technology teaching in school settings.<\/strong> Professor Stevan Joki\u0107 is the founder of the Serbian branch of this program and received the PURKWA 2007 international award<\/a> from the French Academy of Sciences from an international jury that included several Nobel Prize winners and famous scientists.<\/p>\n

Teachers and parents will subsequently be able to use the resources of the “Hand in the Test” project in the scientific and information literacy of children from preschool to high school level, as well as in working with children with developmental disabilities. The resources were created with the cooperation of numerous institutions, including: the French Academy of Sciences, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the University of Belgrade, the Vinca Institute, the Global Network of Academies of Sciences \u2013 IAP, the French foundation La main \u00e0 la p\u00e2te, the French Institute in Belgrade, the Society of Physicists of Serbia, and includes the EU-FIBONACCI and EU-SUSTAIN projects.<\/p>\n
