{"id":11254,"date":"2026-05-29T13:27:42","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T11:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/izvestaj\/ljubav-koja-prevazilazi-podele-otvorena-izlozba-balkan-love-na-kalemegdanu\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T13:39:54","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T11:39:54","slug":"ljubav-koja-prevazilazi-podele-otvorena-izlozba-balkan-love-na-kalemegdanu","status":"publish","type":"izvestaj","link":"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/en\/izvestaj\/ljubav-koja-prevazilazi-podele-otvorena-izlozba-balkan-love-na-kalemegdanu\/","title":{"rendered":"Love that overcomes divisions: \u201cBalkan Love\u201d exhibition opened at Kalemegdan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For all visitors and citizens of Belgrade an exhibition <strong>\u201cBalkan Love\u201d by photograph Aleksandar Crnogorac<\/strong> was opened on the Sava Promenade at Kalemegdan.<\/p>\n<p>Balkan Love is a photo exhibition that <strong>presents people who chose love over borders, nation and religion.<\/strong> Through portraits and personal stories of inter-ethnic couples from the Western Balkans, the exhibition questions stereotypes and highlights the common cultural heritage, diversity and humanity of the region.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition was opened on May 28, by the author <strong>Aleksandar Crnogorac,<\/strong> deputy head of the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, Plamena Halacheva and <span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> deputy chief of mission of the Swiss embassy, <strong>Miguel Luis La Plante-Perez<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11242\" src=\"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05291-copy-1024x736.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05291-copy-1024x736.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05291-copy-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05291-copy-768x552.jpg 768w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05291-copy.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201cThe Balkans have long been shaped by complex histories and divisions, but these couples remind us that connection, understanding and love continue to exist despite politics and prejudice. Their stories offer hope and a vision of the region today \u2013 as well as the future that is possible\u201d<\/em>, said the author of the exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11243\" src=\"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05292-1024x713.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"713\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05292-1024x713.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05292-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05292-768x535.jpg 768w, https:\/\/evropskakuca.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05292.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, <strong>Plamena Halacheva<\/strong>, stated that the exhibition \u201cBalkan Love\u201d is a love told beyond borders, languages, traditions and beliefs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cEurope\u2019s motto is United in Diversity, and this moto is tested honestly and lived courageously, precisely right here, in the Balkans. These couples do not merely tolerate diversity. They embrace it at the most intimate level possible. They wake up with it every morning. They choose it, again and again. He spent his childhood in Belgrade, and was educated in the United States of America, England and France. After experience in the field of commercial photography, he returned to Serbia to fully devote himself to documentary photography. In the focus of his creativity are human stories, minority communities and society\u2019s attitude towards marginalized groups.
