\u201cAs a resident of Ni\u0161, a historian, and a tour guide, it was extremely important to me to bring the significance of the rich cultural heritage that Ni\u0161 has created and preserved for centuries closer to my fellow citizens.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With these words, historian and tour guide Vladimir Jovanovi\u0107<\/strong> describes the idea behind the \u201cNi\u0161 Passport\u201d<\/strong> a unique travel document that guides visitors through the history of central Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n

The guided tour offered through the \u201cNi\u0161 Passport\u201d takes participants through layers of history that many residents of Ni\u0161 have never had the opportunity to discover in this way. The journey begins with Winter\u2019s Plan and continues via the \u010cair Fountain and the Bridge over the Ni\u0161ava River, leading to the Officers\u2019 Club, the Ni\u0161 Fortress, and the Banovina building\u2014sites of great importance to both the city\u2019s and the nation\u2019s history. The route also features monuments dedicated to Constantine the Great, Nade\u017eda Petrovi\u0107, and \u0160aban Bajramovi\u0107, distinguished citizens of Ni\u0161 who brought the spirit of Europe to the city and shared the spirit of southern Serbia with Europe.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Jovanovi\u0107<\/strong> placed special emphasis on the European dimension of Ni\u0161\u2019s past:<\/p>\n

\u201cI devoted particular attention to presenting the traces left by various civilizations, primarily European ones, on the territory of our city, shaping its identity and historical development. At the same time, I wanted to tell the stories of remarkable individuals\u2014Europeans who, through their work, knowledge, and life paths, made an immeasurable contribution to the development of Ni\u0161.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to him, the \u201cNi\u0161 Passport\u201d thus becomes a bridge between the past and the present, a reminder of the values that should be preserved and passed on to future generations.<\/p>\n

The participants themselves confirm that this message resonated with the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a resident of Ni\u0161, this kind of tour means a great deal to me. Thanks to it, I learned things about the city\u2019s history that I either did not know or did not know enough about,\u201d<\/em> said Ivana, one of the participants. \u201cI now look differently at the city center that I walk through so often, with greater respect for the generations who built our Ni\u0161.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
