How are aggressive sales marketing, psychological pressure and manipulative tactics behind closed doors affecting the oldest consumer population? The answer comes from the documentary film Fraudsters , which takes the audience behind the scenes of one of the most controversial phenomena of modern trade – sales presentations aimed especially at elderly and vulnerable consumers.
On March 16, 2026, at 6 p.m., at the EU House in Belgrade , the audience will have the opportunity to watch a screening of this powerful and award-winning Czech documentary from 2014. year.
Through hidden cameras and authentic testimonies, the film exposes the tactics of manipulation and psychological pressure by which consumers are led to buy overpriced and often unnecessary products, opening up important issues of consumer protection, ethics in trade and responsibility towards the most vulnerable members of society .
Entrance to the screening is free , and after the film the audience will have the opportunity to participate in a conversation with the director of the film, Sylvie Dymakov from the Czech Republic , who will talk about the creation of the documentary and its impact on the public debate on consumer protection throughout Europe.
The event is organized by the EU for Internal Market project , in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Serbia , as part of the World Consumer Rights Day campaign, under the common message: “EU standards at the service of Serbian citizens” .
