The city of Novi Pazar achieved exceptional success within the Green Kick project, winning a grant worth 6,000 euros for the most successful Action Plan for Energy Sustainable Development and Climate Change (SECAP) .
The Green Kick project is implemented by the Center for Development and Support (CRP) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnership with the Smart Collective from Serbia and the Foundation for the Development of the North of Montenegro – FORS Montenegro.
The project is implemented within the framework of the European Climate Initiative ( #EUKI ), with the support of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN).
The leader of the Novi Pazar team was Malića Plojović , who pointed out that the success was the result of great and dedicated work, especially in collecting extensive documentation necessary for participation in the project.
“Our activity in collecting data and documentation, which was necessary for the development of this Action Plan, was rewarded, since it is the obligation of every local self-government to have one, because now the focus is on energy efficiency and circular economy,” Plojović told RTVNP .
As she emphasized, winning the first place represents a significant recognition for the City of Novi Pazar and confirmation of the quality of the action plan, since the team was small and a lot of knowledge was needed to collect all the documents and compile the plan.
In addition to Novi Pazar, five other local governments participated in the project – Smederevska Palanka, Vrnjačka Banja, Kragujevac, Petrovac na Mlavi and Šid – which through intensive trainings and working meetings worked on the development of measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
