On December 8, the Europe House Novi Pazar opened its doors to all the citizens, as a place of meeting, learning and European values. It is located in the very center of the city, at Stevana Nemanja Street 2.
Leading the EU Delegation of Serbia, the Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath, opened the Europe House by saying that this way "European Union is taking another important step in bringing Europe closer to the citizens of Serbia".
"Europe House Novi Pazar will host debates, cultural events, workshops and educational programs. It will be a place where students, teachers, civil society, entrepreneurs, artists and journalists can meet, exchange opinions and collaborate", stated Beckerath.
With a homely atmosphere, the Europe House in Novi Pazar is conceived as a lively center of dialogue, cultural exchange and innovation, dedicated to strengthening ties between the local community and the European Union.
The first guest of honor in the Europe House Novi Pazar was the mayor Nihat Biševac.
"It is a great honor for me that today, along with you, we are opening the Europe House in Novi Pazar — a space that symbolizes our European determination, our openness, and our readiness to build the future in the spirit of cooperation, knowledge and modern values" , said Biševac.
Mission of the Europe House is dedicated to supporting citizens, businesses, non-governmental organizations and local government officials to understand EU processes and pre-accession funds.
Official opening of the Europe House in Novi Pazar is part of the two-day visit of the EU Delegation to Serbia led by Ambassador Beckerath.
During the visit, he met with city leaders, national minority representatives, civil society organizations and media. The delegation also toured The Ras Museum, as well as Novi Pazar School of Design, which is implementing the project on improving waste-management practices by the program EU PRO Plus.
